Placing your laundry in the washer tub before starting the cycle will ensure detection and reduce vibration. Shut off the washer, wait for the safety lock to release, and redistribute the clothes evenly in the tub. If the load remains out of balance, try adding one or two similar items and restart the washer. Water temperatures may seem cooler than traditional laundry centers. There is an H for Hot and C for Cold embossed on the back of the unit for each hookups. Using only a cold (or only a hot) supply hose will result in water backflow through the valve and onto the floor. The unit will then stop what it is doing and unlock the lid when it is safe to reach inside the machine. To resume the cycle from where it left off, simply press the cycle selector again. Typically, the Normal Cycle will take 60-80 minutes. For small loads of 10 items or less, try using the Quick Wash cycle which only takes about 23-28 minutes, depending on load size. In the event that your washer encounters an unbalanced load, it will perform an extra rinse cycle to re-balance. This can add about 10-30 minutes to the cycle. See the FAQ on how to avoid out-of-balance problems. If your water pressure is low it can take longer for the tub to fill with water, which adds time to the wash cycle. See the FAQ on how to avoid Out-of-Balance conditions. The washer will beep once and lock to begin the sensory cycle after the Start button is pressed. Double-check that your machine has been installed properly by running through the checklist in the Installation Guide. Adding 1 or 2 laundry items to the load will help to balance the weight during spin cycles. This can add about 10-30 minutes to the cycle. Ensure that power is coming from the outlet and the electrical supply cord fits tightly in the wall. Your Laundry Center should be on its own circuit breaker and not shared with any other outlets or appliances. Note: Do not use an extension cord. Depending on the quality of the extension cord and the length, the power may be greatly reduced and not allow the washer to perform properly. For your safety, the door or lid of your washer must be completely closed for the washer to start. These high performance Laundry Centers with low-profile agitators are designed to use less water and energy while being gentle on your clothes. The low profile agitators also free up space for larger loads, making it easier to add and remove laundry. It is normal for the water level to appear lower than traditional washing machines. Frigidaire High Efficiency Laundry Centers rely on sensory technology to tune water levels and agitation cycles to your specific load size. The water level, agitation intensity and vibration tuning are set based on the load size that is detected. Water will enter the tub once the sensory cycle is complete. Frigidaire High Efficiency Laundry Centers are designed to use less water and energy. To maximize efficiency, the first 2 minutes of the cycle are spent sensing the load. When the sensing cycle is complete, the optimal amount of water will be dispensed to achive efficient cleaning performance. This will ensure that the chemicals are properly dissolved and mixed in the wash water. If your unit has a dispenser, simply pour fabric softener into the dispenser and make sure the Fabric Softener button or dial is in the “ON” position. You can refer to your Complete Owner’s Guide for more information. The washer must be level (both front to back and side to side), with each washer leg placed solidly on the floor. You can adjust the leveling legs by turning the legs slightly in or out until the washer is set solidly on the floor, then tighten the lock nuts. For maximum stability, leveling legs should not extend more than one-half inch below the washer bottom. It is not recommended that you install the washer on carpeting. You may refer to your Installation Instructions to remove five Shipping bolts, four plastic “P” clamps, one white spacer and four black spacers from the back of the washer. Make sure the Styrofoam shipping blocks have been removed from the bottom of the washer. Shut off the water, wait for the safety lock to release on the door, and redistribute the clothes evenly in the washer. If the load remains out of balance, simply add one or two similar items to the load and restart the washer. Belt buckles or other metal fasteners on items being washed may cause rattling or clanking sounds, too. You can fasten these items or turn garments inside out to reduce the sounds. Rattling or clanking may also be caused by foreign objects (such as coins) in the drum. If you think this is the cause, stop the washer and check for any objects in the drum. If none are present and the sound continues, we recommend running an empty load to see if the noise persists. This will allow you to determine if the noise is coming from the unit or an article that was being washed. If the noise is still present during the empty load, please contact us. This is normal, a pause occurs between the Wash and Spin cycles, with a longer pause occurring during the Soak cycle. With front load washers, normal pauses also occur as part of the reverse tumbling action.Check that your washer’s plug fits tightly into the wall outlet. Note: Do not use an extension cord.

They are also formulated to reduce soap suds and ensure proper cleaning. Non-HE detergents may cause excessive generation of soap suds and result in detergent residue on your clothing at the end of the cycle. Always refer to your detergent manufacturer’s instructions for the proper dosage. Do not fill any compartments in your dispenser beyond the maximum amount line. We do not recommend the use of detergent pods with our front load washers. We are unable to guarantee the pod will dissolve at the correct time during the wash cycle to ensure proper cleaning performance. If pods are used, please place the pod directly into the washer drum BEFORE placing laundry into the unit. This will help mix the detergent into the water. Do not place the pod in the detergent drawer as the gel coating may cause the detergent drawer to become clogged.

If necessary, remove some of the tape on the seal to make an air path. The standpipe needs to be at least 1.Using too much detergent can also inhibit draining. If you suspect this is the case, please call your authorized servicer. If so, it will need to be cleaned; you may need to contact a plumber. If it is out of the standpipe, you will need to secure it. You can do this by bending the end to form a hook, placing the hooked end into the standpipe, and tying the hose to the standpipe or a faucet with a cable tie (one was supplied with the washer), strong filament tape or duct tape. Check by realigning the threads, make sure that the rubber sealing washers are in good shape and seated properly, and tighten the hose connections. If they are loose, you might need to reinstall or replace the rubber sealing washers. Using a non-HE detergent or using too much detergent in soft water can cause suds to overflow the washer. This may seem like a leak if the suds flow or drip onto the floor. To avoid this, use an HE detergent, and reduce the amount of detergent you use if your water is soft. To open it, simply stop the washer and wait 1 to 3 minutes for the safety lock to open. On a front load washer, the door will be locked during the entire wash cycle. Before tumbling starts, you can stop the washer and then wait for the water to drain off the window before opening the door. To open the door during the spin cycle, stop the washer and wait 1 to 3 minutes for the lock to release—do not force the door open. We appreciate your patience. The addition of extra water may actually result in your laundry not being cleaned as well. Tumbling action and recirculating pumps help distribute the water and detergent to clean your laundry more efficiently. If you are unable to resolve an issue or need more information, please contact us. To prevent siphoning off of incoming water, the standpipe cannot be too short; it must be at least 24 inches high. Be sure there is a gap between the drain hose and the standpipe, and that the standpipe is at least 1? inches in diameter. The drain hose should be securely inserted into the standpipe, but not so far down that it reaches the trap area of the standpipe plumbing. Rearrange the items in your load to allow proper spinning, possibly adding one or two similar items to help balance the load. A If the load is comprised of items that cannot be distributed around the drum, such as a single pillow or stuffed animal, the washer will not spin. Additional items will need to be added to the unit to better balance the weight of the load.

So after reading several comments and questions on the net it seemed to be simply a bad solenoid or 2 so i purchased a complete new valve. Now after installing have the same results. I pulled all the connectors under the panel and used dielectric grease, checked every water line for possible plugging but nothing found. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! If all solenoids test ok, is it possible an unseen blockage has occured in one of the water lines. A crimped or pinched water line once everything is put back in place. Hard water or FOD in a solenoid that still shows to work electrically but not mechanically. Faulty voltage going to a solenoid. Let us know what you find. -RR We ran diagnostics and it shows E11. Tried resetting to factory defaults by holding down options and spin at the same time. This appeared to work but washer did not fill with water. Any ideas on what the problem is. Thank you in advance. Indicator lights say water should be flowing in to rinse— I hear a hum but no water enters. A small load of sudsy soaked clothes are in the machine Any idea what the problem could be. THANK YOU I replaced the cracked valve and I have the same symptoms. It will run water in for a few seconds then shuts off. Did you figure out what the problem was? I started to run a load of laundry and everything was fine. Then I paused it to add more laundry. When I tried to turn the machine back on, the lights show up but now it won’t fill or drain. THE SAME DAY the washer won’t fill with hot or cold water, and it also makes a noise as if it’s trying to start. Also the light on the washer that usually works does not. Regardless if I put a full load of towels in or whatever it only fills halfway point My maintenance guy said it is made like that because of the sensor it wants me to wash smarter but I feel something is wrong and that my water level should be higher. It is really frustrating because the water only comes up to the middle of the barrel Help!!!

I have replaced both water inlet valves, pressure sensor switch, timer, and lid switch. Please can you advise me where to go next. I’ve checked that the hoses are clean and water is flowing through them and that’s good. When we put it on the rinse cycle it fills with water. How can we fix this problem? Did you ever find out what the repair solution is. If you did please share. Thank you very much-Dawn The machine works fine on the wash cycle but when it comes to the rinse cycle the water runs continuously and the washer never fills. It does this on both wash cycles. It’s not filling the water in wash mode. It’s taking small amount of water in wash mode. And its working fine in rinse mode. What could be the reason. Please help me It’s not filling the water in wash mode. Please help me What future checks can I do? Machine will come on but will not fill with water or spin the trouble started when I was doing a load and it stopped and did not rinse can put on delicate will rinse momentarily and then stop The cold water valve is broken. I am wondering what the cost of replacing this would be. I just need a rough estimate of parts and labor. Does the dryer unit need to come off the top? We have checked the filter on the bottom and cleared it. We have replace the mechanism at intake, checked the water pressure and hoses and none of this seems to be helping it fill with water. After doing some Internet research we determined that it was possible that the machine was not getting any air as the machine filled with water. This made sense to me that the water needed to replace air and that air would need to be removed. So we disconnected the pressure sensor hose from the tub and he is able to blow through the hose and the sensor is making a sound which indicates of us that it is in working order. When I turned my washer macHine on, dirty water began coming out of it. Now, I am getting just a faint bit of water.

What's wrong with my bathroom faucet on the sink. Today it started to constantly drop water every 5 seconds? ? Can a non-functioning water softener cause any damage.Community Guidelines. Leaderboard ? Knowledge Partners. International Sites. This guide will show you what to do if your washing machine will not fill with HOT or COLD water. Both of these issues can be fixed by doing a few simple checks. Many of the newer front load HE machines have a shutoff valve and sometimes during shipping it is put into the closed position. So your problem with your washing machine not filling with water may be as simple as just turning the valve to open. If so it may be clogged and telling the computer to not allow water to enter. If your washer has a special filter, clean or replace it and test the washer for water flow. If there is no filter on your washer then you will need to take further steps to find the problem. Locate the 2 water valves (one is for hot water and one is for cold water). If both water valves are open (hot and cold) then there is a problem in the washer or the water supply hoses. Check to be sure that somehow the washer water valve has not been shut (may or may not be something on your washer but if so it is located on back of washer). If you assume water is going to the washer and ALL valves are open, go to the next step below. Hold the ends of both hoses pointing into an empty bucket and open the valves. If water flows then you know the hoses and valves are not clogged or defective. (This procedure will verify water flow to the washer and you can rule out a problem with the hoses or valves located on the wall) While you have the water hoses disconnected, look into the hose connections on the back of the washer. Make sure that there is nothing clogging the screen or in the hose connection. If there is anything clogging the screen or blocking the connection, remove it and reinstall the hoses and test washer.

You can remove the water valve or hose connectors and see if there is anything visibly wrong with it. Sometimes they crack and block water flow to the washer and may leak. Washers that have a water shutoff valve on the back can sometimes fail in the closed position. There are also hoses that are in the machine that may be clogged or possibly pinched. This issue can be fixed yourself but taking the machine apart may be necessary to access all the hoses and water lines. He has 33 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing all types of machinery. Contact here Any suggestions on this issue? Any advice? Think it might be the water inlet valve, but not certain. Thank you! The hose has a plastic white screw on female bolt like connection. The wash cycles don’t completely fill, we get the nF error and the timer doesn’t advance. The rinse and spin cycle does fine. I just tried adding a few gallons of water through the soap dispenser and the wash cycle completed. I’m a newbie mechanically. Should I check for a clog somewhere. Or do you think it might be something else, like a pump problem? Thank you. The water does not come out to fill the tub but does for the rinse cycle. Is it worth fixing or should we buy a new one. We are not able to fix ourselves so would have to pay a service company to come out? Thank you Wire has good continuity and is clean both ends. Cold supply hose and screen are fine. New inlet valves. Swapped with good circuit board, still no cold power. What is next? Initial diagnosis since this washer is 10 yrs old was the water inlet Valve had a stuck or faulty solenoid in it. The mashine does the very 1st washer sprinkle i believe for the temp sensor then it does the water fill in the soap dispenser. Then when it does the slow spin were it adds just a little water it does nothing but spin slow then speeds up then stops. I did not have a the large fold out diagnostics manual paper for some reason with this when i purchased it.

I pulled the hoses and took out the 2 filters that were in the hot and cold intake valves, it’s still not working. Is there anyway to unclog it? Is the problem with “water pressure” switch. Or something else? How hard it would be to replace either? I have a problem with the water inlet I think When I first put it on it fills up the machine with water normally and starts its cycle, after it rinses and begins to again fill up with water, the water just trickles out slowly then it says error, I haven’t noted the error code. I start the cycle again and it works fine up to that point, after that it rinses and then trickles out again so I pause the machine and press the button to send it to the spin, that’s what I’ve been doing to get my by. In Dec the machine was continuously running water after cleaning out cold water filter plugged with same. Now three months later and past warranty the GE machine is disbursing water at a slower pace but not filling up drum. I have watched it and it’s like the water is just draining out bottom then at some point it decides it is full based on setting of large load with cold water. However the machine only has half hand Or 4-5 inches of water on super fill. Is this a valve problem in the machine? Make sure you install a new and clean gasket or o-ring seal on the coin trap or debris filter. If the seal is damaged it will leak. Check on Amazon or your local home improvement store as you may be able to match it up and use a universal seal. -RR My husband unclonged it but it still won’t fill We only used it for about 6 months, before we moved into a house where the homeowners had a washer. It unfortunately has a latch issue, so we decided to hook up our old one.For some reason though the water is running into the drum, but it isn’t filling. So there it sits pouring more and more water in, but it doesn’t advance the cycle since the water is just flowing out. Any idea what we might need to look at?

When I turn it on, it fills for only 20 seconds then water flow stops, same on all cycles. The machine hums, I turn it off. Turn it back on for another 20 seconds of water. After turning dial to any wash setting (normal, cold etc) and pressing START, nothing happens. Maybe the soap is drawn, I can see a slow trickle on the window. I assume water does not need to be drawn for this setting I tried “just the spin” cycle and not working too.It just makes noise and the tub moves a bit while it is doing this. I tried the siphon hose exercise to make sure that my machine was not trying to fill and empty at the same time. I also disconnected the water hoses and drained them, then reconnected and followed all the steps for resetting both the motor and the electrical system from your videos. Nothing happens. The only light that comes on is the Fill light. As soon as I plug it back in, the sound starts up even while I am trying to lift and close the lid the 6 times. This washer is barely a month and a half old. I am very disappointed and have wasted way too much time trying to troubleshoot so I can get on with my washing. We have not had any problems with it until just recently. When it is in on the “normal” cycle there is no water and it shuts off shortly after starting. If we run washer on any other cycle than normal it fills with water and works just fine. Since we do get water on other cycles I have ruled out any type of hose or water blockage. It only spins. No water fills or detergent is dispensed. During the wash cycle, it will start to fill. The water will run for a few seconds then stop. The rinse cycle run without a problem. What could be the cause of this. If I stand there and restart it over and over. Or if I fill it in other ways the load will wash without another incident. It is now fixed. Upon cutting on my washer cold water sputtered out and then stopped and machine now sounds like it is humming. Hot and warm water comes out normal but no cold.

Just a humming noise. Kenmore elite probably 196 or 98 top load. Is there a pause for time for “water to enter” the washer before it goes straight into agitation. Or does the washer go straight into agitation mode. If it pauses, we would suspect the water is not getting to the washer and possibly the water inlet valve is faulty or the water is not getting to the washer. It is either the timer mechanism is failing or the water is simply not entering the washer. Let us know what you find and give us more info if you need more assistance. -RR But if it senses fill and hesitates like 15-20 sec. Also it used to sometimes complete a cycle. Now it doesn’t ever. It will make it all the way to the rinse cycle than stop. The wash light will come back on. And it always leaves soap residue on my the clothes. At 1st I thought it was just me and didn’t understand how this new HE machine works and was doing something wrong. But I have reviewed the service manual and troubleshooting. And found no solution I checked the hoses, cleaned the screens, reversed the hoses as the hot water line has low pressure and the results are the same. I ran diagnostics and water inlet test seemed to pass, only thing that came up was the silver nano kit was abnormal, looking on samsung site i found no reference to the silver nano kit. It looks as though the water doesn’t stay in the drum during a wash cycle. When it gets to the rinse I can see the water level on the door. So clearly it does run the water in and it holds water. I’m thinking it would get the clothes cleaner if the water stayed in the machine to swish the clothes around in the soapy water. I have checked for any valves but there are none. Hoses look connected to each other at top of sink where you turn water on and off for sink and washing machine but water only comes out of sink tap nothing to machine hoses? If you get water from the sink but NO WATER TO WASHING MACHINE, then some valve or similar may be OFF or CLOSED.

Does water come out. If so, you have an issue with where the water hoses connect to the back of the washer. There could be an issue with the WATER INLET VALVE or the MESH FILTER SCREENS. What is the model number of your Washing Machine. Please let us know what you find. -RR Already replaced the valve and control board. Anything else we need to check? Be sure the washer is getting the proper water pressure. Check that the water valve is getting the proper voltage. Be sure all wiring harnesses on the control board are secure and not damaged. -RR It will lock doors to start, do a half rotation, sit a couple of minutes and then unlock instead of filling with water to start the cycle. We have checked the screens on the hose lines and they are clean. Water is flowing just fine from the wall lines. It won’t do anything on any setting just unlocks after a couple of minutes. Make sure the hoses are not bent or pinched. Clean the inlet filters that attach to the water inlet valve on the ends of the water hoses. How can you help? Please provide solution. You may have a siphoning issue. Check to be sure the DRAIN HOSE is correctly positioned in the standpipe. If it is too far it MAY make your washer drain as it fills. This pressure switch is what senses the water level and controls how much water enters the tub. Usually this pressure switch has a clogged tube or the switch itself may be clogged and can be cleaned to fix it. This pressure switch is usually located behind the front panel depending on what model number Whirlpool top load washer you have. -RR The light turns on but the door won’t shut and the water doesn’t come in. Find out why the door will not shut. Is the front load washer door bent downward. Try loosening the screws that hold the door on and then retighten them in the correct position so the DOOR SHUTS. When the washer door shuts, then the switch will connect and the washer will fill with water and run as it should.

-RR The thing is I do not know if is the pump or something else, because you still get the noise during the washing process sometimes, not all the time. Can’t see much water inside during the whole cycle. Looks like is spinning ok. Can anyone help to identify the noise. I’m proceeding to check for a shut off valve control Are you receiving any error messages. This happens on all cycles I have tried. Disconnected all hoses and water pressure is fine from the mains, Checked the internal hoses and inlet filter, both are clear. Could it be the inlet valve. Or would it not receive any water if the inlet valve was faulty? Most likely the board is bad. If so remove and replace. But he tried to get me for a bad locking mechanism. I read on a thread where when your drain sensor is bad it will not let your door unlock. Supposedly it tells your door to unlock. I have washed three loads of clothes and so far everything is fine. When I came home and put laundry in I forgot to turn on the water back on. Came back, unfortunately, approx. 7 hours later and it had an “Lc” code showing and door will not unlock. Is it possible the door lock is STILL not functioning properly therefore the washers stops intermittently. Have you tested the door latch lock assembly wiring and harnesses. Have you tested the water inlet valve? -RR I am getting error code E1 and F8. Have check water hoses and water is coming thru these hoses. My problem is it washes for about 12 minutes and the error code appears and cycle stops. Same pulsing, and by that I mean it sounds like it wants to spin, but the agitators do not rotate. Going for the control panel next. Four year old washer that does no better than an 80’s model that would still work any time it’s tried. Bells and whistles are for kids, and those that get sold. The water dispenser stops and gets stuck about 10 minutes into the cycle and starts clicking. Took the top off and see that the water fill actuator arm gets stuck the third time it fills.

The power to the washer may be greatly reduced and not allow your washer to perform properly. For your safety, the washer will not operate when the door is not closed properly. If this is the case, reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse (but do not increase the fuse capacity). If you have an overloaded circuit, please contact a qualified electrician. Is this normal?

We appreciate your patience. Don’t forget to register your Frigidaire product. Once you have registered, you will receive useful information including easy access to your warranty and product care tips. Download the Complete Owner’s Guide on the Owner Support page for additional information on your product. To register your product you will need your model and serial number, which can be located on the inside of the door or door well, depending on the model. You will also need to provide the date of purchase as shown on your receipt. It’s always a good idea to save this information. You can also send your product registration card in the mail. If you have any questions, please contact Frigidaire at 1-800-374-4432. HE detergents are designed for front load washers like ours, which use lower water levels.

Using too much detergent can also inhibit draining. For example, a lot of KenmoreIf you operate an older device, Adobe Acrobat Reader is available as Please describe repair issue you are having. Any earlier repairs?

Because this type of washer is water efficient, it’s normal for the water level to always be below the bottom of the door. Frigidaire Front Load washers are designed to both maximize water usage and the cleaning of your laundry. You will notice significantly less water usage in your front load washer than you are used to seeing in other units, especially top-load washers. The addition of extra water may actually result in your laundry not being cleaned as well. Tumbling action and recirculating pumps help distribute the water and detergent to clean your laundry more efficiently. If you are unable to resolve an issue or need more information, please contact us. Depending on the water pressure in your home, which varies, you may want to avoid excessive water use elsewhere in your home while the washer is filling. A If you are unable to resolve an issue or need more information, please contact us. It cannot be more than 96 inches high. If the drain hose has been taped (or sealed) into the standpipe, the seal should not be completely tight because the standpipe requires air for proper draining. If necessary, remove some of the tape on the seal to make an air path. The standpipe needs to be at least 1.

I watched a video again, even though I had cleaned out the pump once before. It's always good to see a refresher when you don't do this kind of thing everyday. I cleaned out the filter basket and it wasn't filled with too many hairpins and such, but it did have about a dozen small metal balls in it. They looked like small split shot. Oh! Bearings! So I pulled the pump and sure enough the impeller was wobbling all over the place. I ordered a new pump from appliancepartspros.com and it arrived within 3 days. Reinstalled and our washer is the same old work horse she's always been. You guys have become my go-to site for my appliance needs. Check them out before you make an expensive repair call or buy a new appliance. That worked for a few months. Next time, I once again used your video and checked my filter and it was fine, so I learned from you that it was my drain pump. So I ordered a drain pump and with your videos (I used both the filter and the drain pump video because each helped me with a different thing) - I fixed it again. BTW, I am a 70 year old woman, living in a 100 year old cottage with 7 dogs and 2 hens. I live on SS so I am living lean as they say. Cannot afford a new machine yet so your videos helped me to get mine to limp along until I can save up for a newer one. Thank you. It arrived on time. The online instruction video made the repair very simple for me. I removed a couple of hoses, using my wet-dry vac to catch most of the water. Then I removed the old pump by removing two bolts. I put the new pump in place, hooked up the electrical connection, bolted it in, and reattached the hoses. The washing machine works fine now. Thanks. Those pipe clamps are frustrating though! The washer just stopped spinning and was making a humming noise. I don't know anything about washers and how to fix them. Before going out and buying a new one I turned to the internet and looked up videos and read a couple of forums. Turns out all I needed was this drive belt.

Watched a video on YouTube on how to install the new belt. It was really easy and I saved myself a whole lot of money on replacing the washer. With the panel removed all need to do was reline the belt on the pulleys, job took less than 15 minutes. Was very impressed the Appliance Parts, as I placed order in the morning, shipped in the afternoon had it the next day ( I did not pay for overnight ) but was there anyways. It took less than 20 minutes to follow the instructions and fix it. We were so happy at how quickly we received the belt we ordered. I would definitely use your service again. Thank you. Vacuumed unit, Cut and removed old belt. Installed new belt and reassembled unit. Works great.

You will also need to provide the date of purchase as shown on your receipt. It’s always a good idea to save this information. You can also send your product registration card in the mail. If you have any questions, please contact Frigidaire at 1-800-374-4432. HE detergents are designed for front load washers like ours, which use lower water levels.

Using too much detergent can also inhibit draining. We hope it helps solve your problem.I see you need the manual for your Frigidaire front load washer, GLTF2940ES0. I have located that information and provided you a digital copy.Sign up now.

The washer had quit on me at the end of a cycle, with a full load of laundry, and the tub half full of water. I just finished a full load of whites, and everything is working fine. I have my fingers crossed, and hope it will last another year or two before I have to buy a new machine. The Door Lock assembly itself had no identifiable markings--there was no part number or anything on any of the Lock housing. This new part had nothing to identify it, so I have no way to verify it is truly an OEM part. Based on other pictures, this part looked no different than the cheaper Chinese after-market Door Lock assemblies. I took a chance and installed this new part.

The part fit, but it sounded like a door-buzzer when the electromagnetic latch was engaged when starting the washer. I tried to adjust the part mounting and door striker fitment multiple times with no success. I needed my washing machine and could not wait to return for a new part, so I removed the thermal solenoid (brown color) from the new Lock and installed on my old original Lock. I diagnosed that the thermal solenoid was the bad mechanism on my original Lock. When I installed the original old Lock with the 'new' thermal solenoid, it worked perfectly with no buzzing sound. Hopefully this fix lasts for a long while to get my money out of it. I am not impressed with the part shipped to me. I cannot prove it was not an OEM part, but I have strong doubts that it was. Buy at your own risk if you want a genuine OEM part. I give it 2 stars as the brown thermal solenoid seems to work on my original Lock.I ordered another one and I'll update my review if the 2nd one works as it should.Hitting start resulted in the 4 LED's on the right-hand side blinking but nothing else. Having had to replace the door lock switch about 4 years ago after it would not complete the final spin I wasn't certain what the problem could be. Did a lot of research and found that this switch, when it fails, can result in two problems, 1.) it won't complete the final spin or 2.) the washer won't start at all. Took the existing switch apart and found that the coil that energizes the switch had failed. Put this new switch in and the washer is working great again. My front load washing machine was not spinning aggressively during the final cycle. I cleaned the coin trap and that was not the issue, once I tested the door switch with continuity testers, I got a reading of 1.4 which told me the switch was defective, the reading should have been 1.6. Once the new switch was installed, the machine was spinning very aggressively like normal.

I also replaced the spring around the gasket as the machine was 10 years old and the spring was rusted.Error said “Door Open” - which it was not, so I couldn’t drain the washer or do anything. Watched a couple of YouTube videos which explained that this was a fairly easy DIY repair. Saved myself at least a couple hundred dollars by not having someone come fix it. Bonus was not having to wait for a repair shop to have time to come. It’s been a week since I installed it, so far so good. No electrical smells like some other purchasers. Plus I get to be proud of myself and show my young adult sons that their mom has all sorts of talents they weren’t even aware of!Other online forums say you should replace the door lock mechanism which I did. But when I plugged it back in, the problem came back. THE TRICK that worked is: you have to break rule number one for working with electrical things and leave the power plugged in. Find the door lock mechanism. Unplug the bottom connector. (The one to the wax motor.) You will hear a clunk sound. Wait a few seconds. Plug it back in. You'll hear another sound. If you have long skinny arms, you might be able to do this by sliding off the top of the washer and reaching in. This won't fix all problems of course, but it's a cheap and easy thing to try before replacing parts. It fit my washer as promised. The only thing that I wish I knew before hand was that there are actually two pieces to this assembly and the smaller connecting piece was available for purchase. Had I known this, I may have purchased that piece first to see if that would have fixed my machine.Tried a local repair shop and they didn't have the part in stock and would have to order it. I figured that if I had to wait I might as well not pay their inflated price and order it myself. Part arrived a day early (!!), swapped the part that night and the washer worked like a charm.

I thought at one point I saw an F1 in the clock window too. Going to read the error code post. Tom - Dayton Oh The other night I was baking something at 450, after about 10 minutes there was a popping sound. Whatever it was popped the breaker. We turned the breaker back on, and everything on the oven works except the Bake and Broil function. Someone told me to change the elemnts (which they probably needed anyways) so I did (just the bottom). This did not fix the problem. The display, range top, fan, clock work, just not the oven part. Please Help I baked in the oven two days ago. When the clock went off (I use the microwave clock) I noticed that the food was cooked, but the oven was off (no clock, no error codes, nothing.) I turned the 220 breaker off and back on. This brought everything back except the oven. So the rangetop and convection fan work fine but the oven will not heat. It does not display any error codes. After reading some posts on this forum, I decided to try the cleaning cycle and am waiting for that to finish, but the door still feels cold. Any ideas? Justin Our Frigidaire oven has always maintained temperature very well. Suddenly it is now approximately 15 to 20 degrees below the reading setting and I am unable to heat the oven past 350 degrees. Where would you recommend I begin to troubleshoot this problem. Any help is much appreciated.

This frigidaire oven is seven years old and about 2 years ago I had the control panel short out while turning the oven on. I opened it up and found there was no insulation beteween the two layers of the main clock control panels. So I cleaned up the board and put a plastic insulator between them and it seemed to work fine for a while. Then about a year later while baking on convection mode it got super hot like it overrode to self clean. I unplugged it and let it sit for a couple days as per a local shops recommendation, and when I plugged it back in all worked fine, until this time and the same thing happened again. So I am wondering which circut I should be replacing. I am thinking the clock circuit as that is the one that had shorted out. When we loose power the unit will beep. Suggestions regarding why the lower oven doesn't work and what I may have to replace. Our oven cook top is working, but after running a speed clean cycle we can no longer get the oven to heat. Broil does not work either. I have a Frigidaire Gallery Series GLEFM397DSB. It often just starts beeping for no reason and there is no way to turn it off other than throwing the fuse. Sometimes it does this three times in an evening. Any idea what needs to be replaced.Experts in relay boards, washer timers, dryer timers, timer repair, range timers, dishwasher panels and ERCs.
