frigidaire high efficiency washer manual
See the installation instructions for further information on how to level your Laundry Center and remove shipping materials. Placing your laundry in the washer tub before starting the cycle will ensure detection and reduce vibration. Shut off the washer, wait for the safety lock to release, and redistribute the clothes evenly in the tub. If the load remains out of balance, try adding one or two similar items and restart the washer. Water temperatures may seem cooler than traditional laundry centers. There is an H for Hot and C for Cold embossed on the back of the unit for each hookups. Using only a cold (or only a hot) supply hose will result in water backflow through the valve and onto the floor. The unit will then stop what it is doing and unlock the lid when it is safe to reach inside the machine. To resume the cycle from where it left off, simply press the cycle selector again. Typically, the Normal Cycle will take 60-80 minutes. For small loads of 10 items or less, try using the Quick Wash cycle which only takes about 23-28 minutes, depending on load size. In the event that your washer encounters an unbalanced load, it will perform an extra rinse cycle to re-balance. This can add about 10-30 minutes to the cycle. See the FAQ on how to avoid out-of-balance problems. If your water pressure is low it can take longer for the tub to fill with water, which adds time to the wash cycle. See the FAQ on how to avoid Out-of-Balance conditions. The washer will beep once and lock to begin the sensory cycle after the Start button is pressed. Double-check that your machine has been installed properly by running through the checklist in the Installation Guide. Adding 1 or 2 laundry items to the load will help to balance the weight during spin cycles. This can add about 10-30 minutes to the cycle. Frigidaire Laundry Centers are High Efficiency machines that use significantly less water than traditional washing machines. HE- rated detergents are designed for lower water levels.

Depending on the quality of the extension cord and the length, the power may be greatly reduced and not allow the washer to perform properly. The water level, agitation intensity and vibration tuning are set based on the load size that is detected. Water will enter the tub once the sensory cycle is complete. Frigidaire High Efficiency Laundry Centers are designed to use less water and energy. To maximize efficiency, the first 2 minutes of the cycle are spent sensing the load. This will ensure that the chemicals are properly dissolved and mixed in the wash water. If your unit has a dispenser, simply pour fabric softener into the dispenser and make sure the Fabric Softener button or dial is in the “ON” position. You can adjust the leveling legs by turning the legs slightly in or out until the washer is set solidly on the floor, then tighten the lock nuts. For maximum stability, leveling legs should not extend more than one-half inch below the washer bottom. It is not recommended that you install the washer on carpeting. You may refer to your Installation Instructions to remove five Shipping bolts, four plastic “P” clamps, one white spacer and four black spacers from the back of the washer. Make sure the Styrofoam shipping blocks have been removed from the bottom of the washer. If the load remains out of balance, simply add one or two similar items to the load and restart the washer. Belt buckles or other metal fasteners on items being washed may cause rattling or clanking sounds, too. You can fasten these items or turn garments inside out to reduce the sounds. Rattling or clanking may also be caused by foreign objects (such as coins) in the drum. If you think this is the cause, stop the washer and check for any objects in the drum. If none are present and the sound continues, we recommend running an empty load to see if the noise persists. This will allow you to determine if the noise is coming from the unit or an article that was being washed. If the noise is still present during the empty load, please contact us. This is normal, a pause occurs between the Wash and Spin cycles, with a longer pause occurring during the Soak cycle. With front load washers, normal pauses also occur as part of the reverse tumbling action.Check that your washer’s plug fits tightly into the wall outlet. Note: Do not use an extension cord.

Non-HE detergents may cause excessive generation of soap suds and result in detergent residue on your clothing at the end of the cycle. Always refer to your detergent manufacturer’s instructions for the proper dosage. Do not fill any compartments in your dispenser beyond the maximum amount line. We do not recommend the use of detergent pods with our front load washers. We are unable to guarantee the pod will dissolve at the correct time during the wash cycle to ensure proper cleaning performance. If pods are used, please place the pod directly into the washer drum BEFORE placing laundry into the unit. This will help mix the detergent into the water. Do not place the pod in the detergent drawer as the gel coating may cause the detergent drawer to become clogged.

The drain hose should be securely inserted into the standpipe, but not so far down that it reaches the trap area of the standpipe plumbing. Rearrange the items in your load to allow proper spinning, possibly adding one or two similar items to help balance the load. A If the load is comprised of items that cannot be distributed around the drum, such as a single pillow or stuffed animal, the washer will not spin. Additional items will need to be added to the unit to better balance the weight of the load.
